Useful resource, but risky to leave comments on
800notes.com is a potentially useful resource where people can leave comments about calls they are receiving, even if they don't have an account (from personal experience, we've run into problems trying to create an account on this website, so some of us are still stuck leaving comments as unregistered). People can look up those numbers & read the comments left by other people to determine if the number should be blocked or whether they should call them back (if it's a missed call with no follow-up voicemail or text). While there is a lot of potential for this site to be an excellent resource for other users, it's plagued by the same problems that plagues many other sites (particularly those with community functions) across the web.
The first problem, as one might expect, is it has trolls. 2 in particular I've had personal dealings with go by the names of Nimrod & MikeHuntleton (just the first 8 letters are enough to show this is a troll if you know the Mike Hunt gag that is run in several R-Rated movies). The latter of these 2 has been particularly problematic, not only manipulating an easily-abused rating system on comments, but also incorrectly grouping other users that are making similar claims on numbers as being me when they make those claims & targeting them with manipulation of the rating system as they are doing with me. This troll in particular has also gone as far as to start doxxing users that have spoken out against him, which makes a potentially useful resource in the category of DANGEROUS TO LEAVE REPLIES ON.
Because of the issue stated above, this means that the rating system is very much a broken function & should mostly be ignored. Troll posts end up having higher ratings than actual informative posts about what was received in a call & trolls continue to misuse the function to harass people they are targeting. If you were to look at recent posts that are using the name Shane, you will see the effects of this abuse of the rating system & nearly every single post from August 2025 & up will have a negative rating on it. But it doesn't stop there. The trolls are including names of other users they think are the same person (even when that assessment is incorrect) & any posts made on those names are also receiving the same mistreatment.
Further problems on the site also include a lack of or mismanagement by moderators. Despite multiple reports being filed on these ongoing trolling problems, the moderators rarely ever step in on these issues, often times targeting the unregistered users who are filing reports against trolls with registered accounts. At one point, I was using the name WonderGamer when leaving comments & those posts were getting auto-modded, never being made public, so I had to stop using that name when posting on the site.
While 800notes can be a useful resource for people who are receiving a lot of unwanted calls, the manipulation by trolls on the site can degrade the legitimacy of comments being left when somebody has a personal experience they want to post about, then there's also the danger of users getting targeted through illegal online harassment methods (like doxxing) similar to what has been mentioned of the 2 named registered trolls earlier in this article. These actions by these trolls may deter comments from being left by certain people, which further degrades the potential functionality of the site. Trolls ruin everything on the internet, 800notes is no exception, especially when moderation is mismanaged in the way it currently is.
With the way things are spiraling down the toilet on 800notes.com & I realized that how I am responding to MikeHuntleton ultimately does look like I am the one trolling, I decided I needed to put some context behind how this all started. Ultimately, I would have provided backup evidence (screenshots or PDF printouts), but it seems the management decided to delete this string of back & forth before I decided I needed to get evidence of it for a potential review, although I don't believe they did it simply because I reported it. Because I was making it a point in my comments that I was listing all phone numbers that I had received the loan scams from throughout the entire year of 2025 on WonderGamer.net & re-recording the voicemails for publication to make them public knowledge about this scam, that the management was smart enough to remove the original thread of comments before I could back it up & use it in this review of their site. It was my folly that I didn't back up the page of comments sooner & because of that, the evidence of the original conflict is now destroyed & can't be used to back up what is now a cesspool of backlash on their site.
Because I don't have the original evidence to provide how this started, the best I can do is attempt to describe it & provide additional evidence of how it went after the fact when available; while I don't expect anybody to actually believe this (especially if they are normal visitors of that site, with maybe the exception of others that MikeHuntleton was accusing of being me posting under other names), the statement of why I am showing this level of disrespect towards these 2 trolls when they respond will at least be made public & put some context behind what is actually going on:
Same as any other loan scam report on their site, it was
filed in pretty much in the same context as can be seen in most of the posts
if you click on any phone number link categorized as a Loan Scammer
in the Phone Number
Blacklist.
NOTE: Because these are now being used as context
for how this started, expect these comments to also disappear.
Nimrod responded with a troll response, I remember their response stating something about "not giving one iota about what I had to say".
Because I have very little tolerance for trolls, I responded with the same level of disrespect they had responded to me in, I remember stating something about "if they wanted to cherry pick statements they felt were irrelevant, to find a cherry orchid & put their skills to some functional use".
At this point MikeHuntleton responded with a troll response, something about being "narrow-minded" or "having a small mind" (I can't remember the exact statement).
I attempted to give him a semi-civil reply, only to get another troll response (more troll-driven than the first one), at which point I decided I was done trying to give him any civil responses as well.
Ultimately, it was this thread & the initial display in their actions that proved to me they were trolls & weren't worth trying to explain anything to, so any level of respect that may have been there previously was destroyed, they were considered nothing more than human-scum at this point & I didn't expect anything would change that.
It was after this, I noticed that almost every post I made had a rating of at least -1. I chose to ignore it for the time being & continue posting as if the ratings didn't matter, making it a point not to look at posts I had originally made on a PC browser (looking at them on a mobile browser didn't show ratings unless you force-loaded the desktop website, so the manipulated ratings wasn't something that was going to bother me until I linked back to those pages from WonderGamer.net).
After maybe a month & a half of this, I got a response to one of my posts from somebody named Pudge, who seemed to be supportive about the reports I was filing & stating that reporting them to my cell carrier should eventually stop it from happening. I replied to them that the report to my carrier didn't appear to be having the same effect their reports did, then went into further detail about the trolling through abuse of the rating system & that I was avoiding viewing the pages I had left comments on through PC browser to avoid seeing the rating trolling, but was still monitoring replies through a mobile browser. At this point MikeHuntleton responded & started up the trolling again, calling me out for trolling rather than him (thinking about this now, I have to wonder if he even realized that this all started in that first string of comments that Nimrod & him responded to that got deleted; did he even notice that what set off this bomb was Nimrod's troll comment on that page?).
At this point MikeHuntleton made it a point to continue responded with a copy & paste response to the majority of my reports of loan scams on new numbers, making the same statements that the report was fake & claiming that I was posting under other names when he noticed other users making the same claims of Loan Scams I was. For the most part I chose to ignore these replies on the new reports, instead choosing to report their posts through the report function on the site (obviously not expecting anything to come of it, but still making them regardless).
One of the callback numbers for these loan scams also had a
large number of other users making comments on it, this was one thread that
I started replying back to MikeHuntleton, again with the same level
of disrespect he was showing. In this thread of comments, he was not
only calling me out & claiming the reports were fake, but also accusing
other people leaving comments about the loan scam as being me posting under
the names they used. In this particular thread, even other users were
going off at him, which seemed to be primarily because of the replies he was
making saying the reports I was making were fake; some of those users took
his comment as he was claiming their reports were also fake & lashing
back at him over the statement (I don't know if any of them actually saw his
comment where they were accusing them of being me using another name, but I
didn't actually see a response from another user to that comment when he
called out the person that was lashing out at MikeHuntleton about
being a troll).
I actually found the fact that him pissing off so
many other users reporting the same scam as I was, then accusing them of
being me posting under their name & getting backlash out it, then
further accusing those users of being me when they called him out for
trolling pretty amusing, giving me a good chuckle over it while trying to
get to sleep.
Most replies were still going back to the thread of responses that Pudge originally replied to, giving further disrespectful responses directed at MikeHuntleton in regards to their conceited, holier-than-thou attitude. It was after the most recent backlash directed at MikeHuntleton that I noticed ratings on my posts were ranging in the -6 range, showing that either he managed to get other registered users to aid him in his manipulation of the rating system or he was just using multiple personal accounts to lower the rating multiple time himself (which was the original expectation & actually stated to him in the thread of respondes that Pudge has responded to).
Making one thing clear here: Pudge is not considered as a troll yet, but is still expected that they may be contributing to the mass of downvoting that MikeHuntleton started when ratings on my posts started getting in the -6 range.
Ultimately, this is what it comes down to. I don't have the evidence to back up this timeline of events, so should I consider trying to even things out & put this behind me?
No, that's not an option. The manipulation of the rating system is still happening & I know a troll isn't going to listen to reason even if you're trying to start over between the two of you; even if you make the effort on your side, they won't make the effort on theirs, so it's too late to try & correct things, especially when he's already got enough other registered users aiding him in reaching his goal of what they call "fakers". This situation is where it is now & likely because the original evidence of how this started was wiped by the management of 800notes, this will only continue to get worse because those that are backing up this waste of life won't know the full context behind how it started, therefore they are only going to trust the word of the person that is driving it, that being the troll that currently is racing this flaming coach of a website into a ravine of molten lava.
There is another troll that I had kind of forgotten about, but after linking their "fakers" thread & reading on of the comments in it, I recognized a name that has given me problems in the past, so I decided I needed to add another update to this page. Seeing as we now have 3 names, this update is going to be a list of people that are known to cause problems for other people posting on the site (at least from personal experience):
| Known 800notes trolls: | |
| BE | Unregistered name |
| BigA | Registered account |
| MikeHuntleton | Registered account |
| Mongo | Unregistered name |
| Nimrod | Registered account |
List last updated 11/15/2025
Note that while our Phone Number Blacklist does have a lot of links to their website, we have no affiliation with 800notes.com & have had our own issues with them (pretty severe at this point). Whether a hyperlink to 800notes on that blacklist exists or not is typically whether there is backing up information in conjunction with our own listings of those numbers. We used to use Whitepages.com for comments, but found that many of those comments were being deleted & ultimately the site ended up becoming nothing more than an information broker site (the types of sites that make you pay for background checks on people, or at least what they are able to scrape from other sites), so most (if not all) of those links have been removed from the list. If supporting comments are made on other sites about personal experiences from phone numbers, we may link to those sites instead. We tend to stay away from sites that list IP addresses that have recently searched a phone number however, as these are seen as potentially dangerous sites (and we've run into at least 2 sites that were doing this, although 1 censored a portion of it so it wasn't the full IP address).
12/5/2025 UPDATE
Another thing I can point out is the lack of support from the site when they are contacted (in particular, my inability to get an account created on the site, a broken-record error of "Could not send the validation message to [email]. Make sure you specified the correct email address."). I have spent months trying to troubleshoot this issue on my own end, ultimately leading to the determination that it was a server-side issue, possibly even an intentional block by the management of the site. Regardless of reason why the site can not complete the sending of validation step, the support still have not responded to the inquiry sent on 11/24/2025, so I'll have to retain my stance of support on the site being unresponsive (and contradictory to their title).
As of 12/2/2025, I decided to start logging the actions of the trolls to make showing their actions much easier, this is done through a Google Sheet, which can be found here. This sheet is going to detail a number of things to make it easier to understand what is happening:
Date the original post was made (with the exception of 3 posts that were deleted prior; these won't give dates, but will still indicate the year of the original post)
A link to the page where the post is (or was) located.
How troll actions negatively affected ratings of posts.
Names of trolls that made specific targeted comments toward me for providing details of a call.
Names of trolls when a report was filed against those comments.
The last date details on a number were updated (given rating & comments may change beyond the date it was last updated, viewers of those comments may notice them before I do).
While this trolling doesn't particularly bother me, it is making one HELL of a case for me in proving the statements made in this review about targeted trolling on the site is accurate, so logging of the issue has proven to be useful, especially with the management of the staff still unwilling to address it. The spreadsheet will make it easier to see just how troll actions are affecting comments on each page, provide a link to those pages for easy follow-up (provided the comments are still there & haven't been deleted) & how long (including frequency of affected posts) the issue continues to be a problem.
As I've stated before, these actions by the trolls don't really bother me much & the reason why I haven't changed my name on their site is because there's a silver-lining to using the same name they are targetting:
The trolls are searching out my posts every day, which ends up being a waste of their time.
Their actions continue to be logged as they happen, which only gives further evidence of the negative aspects of the site as stated in this review.
The trolls on the site clearly think that they can drive me off from it, but all they are doing is proving my point, because they continue to repeat the same acts that lead to this publication & critique of the website's management.
12/21/2025 UPDATE
In addition to the trolling issues, I can also now state that the moderators on 800notes have a habit of revictimizing visitors (particularly those that leave comments on the site) that may already be getting targeted by regular trolls with registered accounts. On 12/20/2025, I left the following comment on the page for (801) 459-9240 (9th post that now reads "post pending moderator approval"):

I was expecting retaliation to this comment, it had 1 downvote the last time
I saw it before it was hidden (which can't be seen here because this is a
screenshot using my phone, where the rating system only shows on the PC version
of the website), which now remains as a permanent tally to downvote calculations
in the logs, seeing as it's now not possible to get upvotes to offset the rating
of that post
As you will see from the comments on the page for this number (note that I have screenshots I can restore for the rest of the posts in this thread if they also get hidden on their site), this was a discussion with a couple other regulars about not being able to get an account registered on it (believed to be an intentional block by the webmaster, however they haven't specifically stated this, so it's just speculation I can't personally back up at this point), both of those users be regulars with registered accounts I still had respect for, however whether that respect is still there now or not is...questionable at best; I still don't know if they are involved in the targeted trolling, but suspect there may be a pretty good probability of it (this is still a detail that needs to be confirmed before I will add them to the Known Trolls list on this review).
The details about logging this trolling (as well as sites where I had already published reviews about 800notes) was left in reports made against comments left by MikeHuntleton (their comments made directly after comments I left about calls/texts I had received) through the report function on their site, however I suspect their staff probably never saw those reports because they likely have IP blocks on certain functions on the site that prevent me from making an account on it, as well as likely negates reports filed under IPs in the range of my ISP, so I knew sooner or later I'd be making this detail public on their site (already being public on this site even before that detail was filed in those reports, only trying to give them a chance to start taking this issue seriously and doing the exact opposite, which was to be expected based on ongoing experience with the site).
This comment left about tracking the trolling was removed from their site before the end of the day (as well as any personal post on the page that has a positive rating got dropped to at least 0, the 8th post getting dropped from -1 to -2), along with a few others that apparently had some retaliation to them, which can be seen on the page for (970) 561-0987:

JT does have a point in their comment & it's happened once with me also,
but personal history from these out of state area codes is they are usually a loan scam automated
system that kept calling nearly every day, the system was likely just screwing up
when it ends up being a silent call
While I did leave the opening comment that was hidden by moderator actions, I would suspect this was in response to a likely abusive comment left in retaliation to the post that was left after mine. I didn't see the comment before it was removed, but either way, I'm pretty certain it was retaliation against my posts (as has been a common action by certain regulars on the site along with multiple anonymous downvotes on nearly every post I made for the last several months).
The opening post that was left here is as you can see in this screenshot:

This is another phone screenshot, so ratings won't show in it, but it also
had 1 downvote in under 18 minutes of being posted according to logging, another
mark that will remain permanently in the downvote tally on the logging
This was one of the posts where I was temporarily testing the waters with linking direct sound clips for easy listening access to the voicemails that were being left when the loan scams were coming in. I stated in the first comment on (903) 698-6418 that I would "go back to dictating the voicemails if these comments are getting deleted or stuck in auto-moderation because of including an offsite URL, in addition to re-applying the hotlink protection on M4A files". While the comment may have been deleted for different reasons outside of the link (note that what appears to be auto-moderation on the site is actually them decided to moderate the comment without fully deleting it, never coming out of that state once it's in it), the statement I originally made still applies, so hotlink protections were once again put on M4A files & the remaining links that remain on the site that go to direct M4A files (2 remaining after the hiding of the comment you see above) will instead be redirected to a 403 page. These re-recorded voicemails can now only be listened to from the Phone number blacklist on this site. I also later decided that in response to how they usually handle outside links on their site, I was also going to blacklist traffic from their site, so any traffic that has 800notes as a referral will also redirect to the 403 page on this site.
Outside of the comments that were getting moderated on 800notes, I also noticed some other activity on other sites that I suspect is a response to the comment about the logging of troll actions & using it as evidence of the publications made about their site.

This screenshot shows a couple of users that showed up in my Twitch channel (this screenshot will be updated as necessary as I don't believe this is over yet). Their reason for being in the channel is unknown, but based on what was going on on 800notes around the timeline that these entries showed on my IRC logs, it's HIGHLY likely they followed through the articles on this site to my Twitch channel to cause problems. Given it's currently unknown why they were in the channel, the names have been censored, but I can always revert that change if I find out they were in the channel for the reason I currently think they were in there.

This screenshot shows 2 new comments that appeared on the thread where the targeted trolling started with Steam, again expected to be users from 800notes behind their being posted, but not verified as of yet. Either way, the comments were clearly made to be antagonizing & even through the comment from DivineDisgrace was worded to try & not sound insulting (there are details they clearly don't know about my personal life that if they had known those details, they wouldn't have made that statement...if they were capable of rational thinking; anybody who knows me & knows the full spectrum of the situation would have seen this comment as disability discrimination), the comments were still reported (not that I expect Steam to do anything about it), their profiles were blocked on my primary Steam account & the comments were added to the Steam Community Troll blacklist.
These recent actions by the management of 800notes shows they are now on the same level that Steam management is in aiding troll actions & if these off-site comments are from the regulars on 800notes, it shows that their users are also on the same level of illegal activities that Steam trolls are, which include (but are not limited to) online harassment/cyberbullying, internet stalking & doxing of other online individuals (many of these being statements that lead to the initial publication of this review, but not nearly at the level it's been proven to be at now). 800notes isn't exactly a business however, it's a site very much like my own (aside from open commenting to the public, something WonderGamer.net still doesn't have yet) & not an official community platform, so I doubt cyberbullying laws would result in any legal actions unless an action that could be traced back to it's users resulting in a critical outcome on other more known official sites (like Steam & Twitch, which seems to already be the case in the starting phases).
Every action has a reaction & my reaction to troll actions is to log it & use it as evidence to back up the publications I make & make those statements understandable to anybody who reads it with an open mind. The targeted trolling on 800notes isn't doing them any favors, it's only giving me more material to publish & additional evidence to back up the statements I've already made. Deleting comments isn't hiding anything either, as you can see I can quite easily republish what they attempted to hide from public eyes, as well as this is also something that gets documented in the troll logging (adding a new value in row 1 for deleted posts after I noticed multiple personal posts were hidden that day, of which I took screenshots of in preparation for it's expected happening).
