Booted on a Rumor
Seems Relictors Destiny Wing has some very poor guidelines when it comes to booting members... I was recently admitted into this clan after befriending a user named JOSHALICIOUS96 after a Crucible match where we were having a decent discussion while in the match (which was a big change from the attitude I usually get in Destiny); I was booted from that clan within 2 weeks of being added based on an assumption.
In the beginning I was told nothing about why I was booted, so I had to do some digging to find out why I was booted in the first place. About 5 days after I sent a message to the leader of the clan, I found out a rumor from a third-party (member of another clan & friend of JOSHALICIOUS96) that it may have been due to removing members of this clan from my friend list due to my stance against teabaggers (some of those members knew about my disgust with the action & decided to push the matter as far as they could go, which resulted in them getting removed from my friend list; I was trying to avoid taking the matter as far as blocking them & uploading videos to my YouTube channel as I have done with numerous other players trying to prove something other than their idiocy).
When I brought up this rumor to the leader of that clan, he stated that that wasn't the case & it was a matter of my supposed "rage-quitting a Raid" without giving a reason; this is more of a rumor than the rumor I got from the third-party (at least there were some facts to this one) when I started asking around from friends that JOSHALICIOUS96 introduced me to... I stated to the leader that this was inaccurate & likely why I was booted was based on a misunderstanding. The fact of the matter is I've had a lot of disconnect problems in Destiny & I can think of two instances where this assumption might have come from; one where I was unable to reconnect to Destiny after the disconnect & the other where I went back to the Tower to finish putting the rest of my stuff into storage (the team left before I got a chance to & had half of my on-character inventory filled, which was going to impede my ability to pick up additional items), at which point I attempted to get another invite to the Raid & was unable to...
In any case, an assumption was made & a new member was booted based on a rumor. Personally if this is how they do things by booting people without finding out the facts, then I'm not entirely sure I want to be a part of the clan anyways. What more agitates me is the fact that I lost one of the few friends I had over PSN as a result of this assumption; so to get right down to it, I actually got double-removed by JOSHALICIOUS96 (once from his friend list & once again from the clan).
